Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this course suitable for?
This course is designed for qualified dental practitioners working in primary care — including associates, practice owners, VT trainers, and recent graduates — who wish to develop or formalise their oral surgery skills. No prior surgical course experience is required, though basic extraction competency is assumed.
How many CPD hours will I receive?
You will receive 16.5 verifiable CPD hours, certified by The CPD Certification Service. A formal CPD certificate will be issued on successful completion of the course. This counts towards your GDC 5-year CPD cycle under Learning Outcomes A, B, C, and D.
What simulation materials are used on Day 2?
Day 2 uses a combination of typodont manikins (phantom heads) and animal heads to simulate real-life surgical scenarios as closely as possible. These are widely regarded as the gold standard for oral surgery simulation training and are the same materials used by major university programmes.
Is there an instalment payment option?
Yes. We offer a two-instalment plan of 2 × £750. The first payment secures your place and the second is due 4 weeks before the course date. Please mention this when booking and we will send you the relevant payment link.
Do you offer group discounts?
Yes. Practices sending two or more delegates can access a group rate of £1,350 per person. Please contact us directly to arrange group bookings.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations made more than 6 weeks before the course date receive a full refund minus a £50 administration fee. Cancellations within 6 weeks can transfer to a future cohort at no extra charge, or receive a 50% refund. We strongly recommend delegates arrange appropriate professional indemnity before attending.
Will I be able to perform these procedures immediately after the course?
The course equips you with the knowledge, technique, and confidence to begin incorporating oral surgery procedures into your practice. As with all clinical skills, you should progress to patient cases incrementally, starting with straightforward presentations and advancing as your confidence builds. Post-course support is available through our trainer.
